I had a girl friend who needed someone to go to her combat class with her. As an enthusiast of EVERYTHING, I bought all the combat books.
Also developed into a lifelong friendship with her because shooting got me so sick to my stomach I couldn’t drive home and had to sleep on her sofa. It was for her that I built the Woman & Guns website long ago.
The instructor always said that the holes in his ceiling came from the local police who shot at his range. They weren’t of the same quality as the civilians. He took the police chief’s gun out of his holster and found that it was rusted shut. They found our instructor dead in his car one night after a stakeout he was doing as a private detective. But he had bragged that he had a cache of guns in his house, so my friend got permission to search for them. Which is how she met her husband to be - searching.
The video in my tagline was made when the class of police teachers got to shoot machine guns as a prize at the end of the session. Some wise acre handed me a rifle and told me it had no kick. They also had to clean the brass out of the rental car before they returned it when they were teaching driveby shooting.
