Hey, I think that’s my sister’s car behind it........
Paging Jerome Bettis. Yo Number 36!!
A perfect rectangle in a city street and they’re calling it a sink hole?
Looks like a man made sink hole.
That looks like a very “neat” hole, not that that matters too much for the passenger. Looks like a whole section of the street just . . . failed.
I used to work on the “sewer” side of a water and sewer authority, and what goes on under those streets is both shocking and amazing. I was always surprised there weren’t more cave ins.
ONE passenger? How cost-effective!
That looks like a perfect rectangle. Could this have been more of an Italian Job ? /h
I would say so. A man made sink hole for sure. But I suppose that is what happens when you keep electing idiots like Mayor Peduto who is more concerned with removing a statue of Stephen Foster, the greatest musician the city has ever produced, than keeping up basic infrastructure.
Not a lot of info here. I will wait for the Trump report for more details.
> A perfect rectangle in a city street... <
I believe Greta Thunberg covered this in her last UN speech. Global Warming will cause a lot of odd things to happen.
Well, it does limit the lawsuit potential.
A friend of mine used to work in the “bus barn” for Metro buses in Seattle. He was in some sort of management position in bus maintenance. He told me one day that other than the heavily full commuter routes the busses took, it would literally be more cost effective to pick up all the bus riders in these Lincoln limo’s used to take people to the airport.
Buses are extremely expensive to run and really need to be packed all the time to be justified.
What do you call a bus full of lawyers going over a cliff with three empty seats? A total waste of space!
“...it would literally be more cost effective to pick up all the bus riders in these Lincoln limos used to take people to the airport.”
In other words, he foresaw Uber and Lyft.
Will that “Trump report” blame Trump?
Are you say buses are a money pit? ;-)
(Good luck getting cities or states to come clean on the cost of that stuff...I think in our area fares cover less than 25% of the _operating_ cost, and contribute nothing to the capital cost.)
Sure a good thing the Mayor here spends all his time building bike paths and plotting to grab guns.
In some neighborhoods, there’d have been a rush onto the bus to collect some easy money.
