Terrible episode. Rambling, disjointed and boring. Worst of the season, if not ever.

I would disagree........That episode showed how twisted Alpha is and how defenseless the communities are against the hoard that Alpha and her minions have at her disposal...
Add to that, Carol's mental stability that is being called into question. Sooner or later she's going nuclear on somebody.......
That was an excellent episode.
I even forgot it was on.
They use to spend several episode per season showing the good in humanity.
Now it’s just the twisted.
That get old fast.

Are you sure we’re talking about the same episode? It was so boring I deleted it right after watching it but I don’t even remember Alpha being in episode 4. Carol was there but just barely.
Then that's your problem. Alpha had the confrontation with Carol and Daryl at the 20 minute mark of the episode and Carol attempted to shoot Alpha but was stopped by Daryl...........You might want to watch it again...........Sheesh!
Negan to the rescue and might get killed for doing good. If you don’t watch every episode, you can get lost in the turns.
That aside, the song they used at the beginning and end of Episode 4 was horrible.
I’m not so sure that Alpha has any more authority over
the Walkers than our peeps could have if they would
choose to adopt the Whisperer strategy of using skins
to simulate walkers. If they killed and/or captured
a number of Whisperers they would be in a position to
manipulate the hoards just as Alpha does.

She may not have even seen episode 4 yet. I download my episodes off of the Internet so I see them on Saturday while my local cable carrier doesn't show the episode until Monday evening. I couldn't even look up an episode 4 recap until I got up this morning because I don't think they officially show it anywhere until Sunday nights.
That aside, the song they used at the beginning and end of Episode 4 was horrible.
The gratuitous lesbian sex scene, the tree, the hallucinating doctor, the kiss, the attack on Lydia, you name it the episode was a mess.
They don't even have to do that. They can just smear walker guts on like they used to do when Rick was around.
When we were first getting introduced to the Whisperers Daryl threw an alarm clock on the ground to redirect the herd but it kept going in the same direction. They could try the same thing and kill the first few walkers that ignore the noise. Those are probably the herd leaders.
