Not only did the final sale amount exceed expectations set between $200,000 and $300,000 its the most expensive sweater ever sold at an auction, according to Juliens Auctions, which held the event.
The sweater has sentimental value for a lot of fans. The Unplugged concert is considered one of the bands best performances, and it made the thrift-store cardigan iconic.
The cardigan has never been washed since the concert and has all the original stains...

First world problems...with this extra $400,000 from daddy's trust fund that I have lying around, not doing much of anything, should I use it to buy this dirty sweater from some dead rock star or do I try to get Monica Lewinsky's stained dress instead?

Still better than some Boomer paying millions for some piece of crap that the Beatles once touched.
The Beatles suck.

Most overrated band in history.
There's nobody starving in America.
Recording Laynes vocals was difficult because of the loss of his teeth, which resulted in a lisp that affected his speech and singing ability. Consequently, they tried to stay away from lyrics that accentuated his lisp. It was kind of hard to do that, because it shows up pretty much everywhere on those tracks. But it was easy for me because Layne and I got along really well. So I didnt have any problem with him at all. It was just a matter of getting him into the studio, having him sit down and get creative.

You might change your mind if you volunteered to give time to a local ‘Food Pantry’ or feed the homeless who have fallen on hard ties especially on the holidays. Just sayin’.
