N.J. seeks to revoke liquor license at Trump’s golf club

New Jersey is seeking to revoke the liquor license of President Donald Trump’s Colts Neck golf club after the facility allegedly served an intoxicated customer who later drove drunk and and got into an accident that killed his father, according to a published report.

While the two offenses listed in the notice carry a combined penalty of a 25-day suspension, the state Division of Alcohol Beverage Control said it was seeking revocation of the license “due to the aggregating circumstances in this case.”

The letter was obtained by the Washington Post, which reported that the customer in question was Andrew Halder. The Woodcliff Lake man left the Colts Neck club on Aug. 30, 2018, and his car flipped and rolled after hitting the curb on a ramp, the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office said at the time.

His father, Gary, was ejected from the car and later died. Halder was charged with vehicular homicide and other offenses. At the time of the accident, his blood alcohol concentration exceeded .08 percent, the legal threshold for intoxication in New Jersey, according to the prosecutor’s office said.

Leland Moore, a spokeswoman for Attorney General Gurwir Grewal, declined comment to NJ Advance Media Thursday.

The Trump Organization did not respond to the Posts’s request for comment.

Trump owns two other golf courses in New Jersey: Pine Hill and Bedminster, where he has spent part of the past three Augusts as well as some weekends in the warmer weather since becoming president.

Using your NJ tax dollars to harass your beloved President Trump.

Did the criminal racketeers ask your permission first?

Democrats want your tax dollars to spend against you.
NJ Democrats hate you.

New Jersey, the red-headed step child of the Republic. Apologies to red-headed step children.

This threat to revoke Trump's golf course license is the same state government that threatened people who bought pumpkins for carving into jack-o-lanterns with a sales tax. If the pumpkin was for eating, then no sales tax.

Petty is as petty does.

Let me guess. NJ is run by Trump-hating democRATS.

That explains everything.

A long time. The details depend on the laws of each state but that liability is well known. That being said revoking the liquor license in this case is clearly politically motivated.

42 states have such so-called “dram shop laws.”

Back in my day, here in NJ, that was called impaired, 30 day loss of license...0.12 was Drunk Driving

Now, for me, back in 1992, I made sure it was clear to everyone, that I was drunk! LOL

I blew a 0.21 and walked out of the Police Station back to my car and drove home!

I was a Professional!!!

“due to the aggregating circumstances in this case.”

The "aggregating" circumstance was Trump.

That is why we should insist that our passengers fasten their seat belts.

Since about forever...when I tended bar back in the ‘60s and ‘70s we were told to cut off obviously drunk customers, and to try to get their car keys if feasible.
