Judge Kim Cooks in the 255th Family District Court ruled today that seven-year-old James Younger and his twin brother would remain under a joint managing conservatorship under their parents, Jeff Younger and Anne Georgulas.
Cooks also gave the two parents joint decision making over all medical, dental, and psychiatric care for the twin boys, indicating that both the father and mother need to consent to the use of puberty blockers or other aspects of a “medical transition.”
Attorney fees are split.
Cooks also issued a gag order on the father.

LifeSite reporter locked out of courtroom of 7-yr-old ‘gender transitioning’ case
DALLAS, Texas, October 24, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) — LifeSite reporter Madeleine Jacob and close to 50 other people, including The Texan News, were refused entrance into the Dallas courtroom where the trial concerning 7-year-old James Younger came to a close today. Three bailiffs were ordered to stand guard in front of the locked door as Judge Kim Cooks announced her final ruling granting joint custody of James.
Despite not needing to show a press pass to enter the court at any time during the past two weeks, Jacob found herself standing outside in the hallway this afternoon because she didn’t have a hard copy of her credentials. A local CBS-affiliate was invited in with their camera.
Jacob, who has been in the courtroom every time the trial has been in session, presented not only her license but also a digital press pass in an effort to get in. She was told she needed a hard copy press pass to enter. Industry practice is generally that a digital press pass is enough to gain admission to an event.
“I think it’s unfair that the media outlets who have been covering it from the beginning were thrown out while the local mainstream media outlets were invited in,” Kim Roberts, a reporter for The Texan, told LifeSite.
And what happens if the father disobeys the gag order? The kid gets chemically castrated as punishment?

That’s goofy. They are never going to agree on medical treatment, and the boy is going to internalize all that anger. He’s going to wonder if it’s ‘his fault’ that both parents hate each other?

Sometimes they actually help someone that would otherwise say too much.

The mother has alleged every sort of thing against this man. They keep throwing the book at him, and he can barely afford to defend himself against her accusations. Just a few days before before that article was published, he had been acquitted of domestic violence. It’s maddening how she is ruining his life. I think she really is the crazy one.
Even if he wasn’t always a perfect man, I don’t think he or his sons deserve to have this woman in their lives. She is a real nutcase. Munchausen kind of crazy.

This is a custody case I thought. Usually just a judge decision, not usually a jury involved
That’s what it would appear to be. I wonder if the court appointed some attorney to represent the minor. When that happens, all bets are off. Court appointed minors attorneys can be good or absolutely evil.
