I wonder of it ran into that Malaysian Jetliner when it flew into the Black Hole? Hopefully Don Lemon will find out.

“although I have no idea what an unscrewed spacecraft might be”
Well, you see, the Indian spacecraft is totally screwed now. The Israeli one is still unscrewed, at the moment.

When they lost contact, the lander had a 50m/s lateral velocity. It probably slowed a little more after that, because the lander was solely under the control of an onboard computer that was running a pre-programmed landing cycle, but it probably didn’t slow by all that much. My WAG is that they miscalculated the terrain in the vicinity of their landing site, and the thing plowed into a hillside that was taller than they thought, and was probably buried under regolith.

And on the initial flight, the lander was set down manually by seat-of-the-pants piloting.

No! Don’t buy into the propaganda. They were not even close to being “the greatest” generation. They are the same cohort that infected our nation with Marxist/communist political and social diseases. The same cohort that destroyed education, entertainment and news in this country. That gave us the Vietnam War and perpetual regional wars. That put the country into trillions in debt. That created the long march to a global government. And so on.

The problem was that they were looking for water ice in September. Most of the water ice stands are closed by then.

In that case, “unscrewed” sounds preferable!
