That’s a Russian Blue. They’re from the very northern reaches of Russia, Arkhangelsk, 1000 kilometers north of Moscow. They look fat because their fur has two layers to insulate them, but they also do get fat because that’s a survival necessity in their native habitat.

If you want your cat to lose weight and exercise limit their intake of food and buy a cheap laser pointer.

Use the laser pointer multiple times a day.

This is overkill.
