You Will DEFINITELY Believe Who Glamour Magazine Picked as ‘Women of the Year’

Is it any wonder why there’s such a disconnect between Americans and the media giants that claim to represent them? For the second time in less than a month, a magazine has declared that only liberal women make a difference. Glamour announced the 2019 Women of the Year and — surprise — no conservatives are included.

Some of the winners include far-left environmental activist Greta Thunberg, anti-Trump soccer star Megan Rapinoe and apocalyptic Handmaid’s Tale author Margaret Atwood.

How about female leaders like former United Nations ambassador Nikki Haley or Senator/United States Air Force combat veteran Martha McSally? Of course, they were not considered.

Instead, Thunberg’s entry is titled “The Revolutionary.” The text in the online version read: “Sixteen-year-old climate activist Greta Thunberg is on a mission to save the planet—but she can't do it alone.” (Not mentioned, her claim that eating meat is “stealing her generation’s future” or her hypocritical “flight shaming.”)

In an online-only CBS This Morning segment, Glamour editor-in-chief Samantha Barry hailed Thunberg as a star:

These young women can really make change. And I think what was interesting when we were awarding Greta is the amount of people who wanted to give us secondary interviews. Al Gore was trying to talk to us for the interview.... So I think what was interesting was all of the generations that wanted to come and talk about how Greta had made a difference.

Atwood, who predicted a dystopian future where women are stripped of all their rights and raped so that they can give birth to babies for the elite, is called “The Oracle.” The text for her claimed, “Our 2019 Lifetime Achievement winner’s terrifying literary predictions are truer than ever, but so is her faith in women.” Actually, none of her predictions have come true. But that, apparently, doesn’t matter.

Barry touted Atwood, who is Canadian, as the “queen of Canada.” Speaking of her photo shoot, the editor-in-chief hyped:

She’s the best storyteller and when — her interview is amazing. She’s just got this regal elegance about her. We shot her in Canada and it was like we had the queen of Canada come to set. And she’s a beautiful person with so many stories to tell. And when she talks, everyone stops to listen.

Barry told CBS This Morning host Gayle King: “So, we look, across the board, across different industries, which women have made major differences this year.” Across the board and across industries. Just so long as there’s no diversity of political thought.

In early October, People magazine announced the “Women Changing the World in 2019” awards. They included, liberals like Thunberg, Democratic Senators Elizabeth Warren and Amy Klobuchar.

Conservative women, Glamour and People magazine think you don’t exist.

CBS This Morning 10/22/19

SAMANTHA BARRY: It’s months in the planning. And, again, it’s of the year. So, we look, across the board, across different industries, which women have made major differences this year. But I think one of the things that stood out for us about all of these eight women this year — and groups — is that they’re not just making a difference this year, they’re really pushing the boundaries and standing up for each other and kind of — I think a lot of the women will have generation impact for years to come. Whether that’s Greta who is, you know, 16 and is changing how the world looks at climate change or Megan Rapinoe who is really fighting for the next generation of soccer players in equal pay.

...

BARRY: These young women can really make change. And I think what was interesting when we were awarding Greta is the amount of people who wanted to give us secondary interviews. Al Gore was trying to talk to us for the interview.... So I think what was interesting was all of the generations that wanted to come and talk about how Greta had made a difference.

...

BARRY: She’s the best storyteller and when — her interview is amazing. She’s just got this regal elegance about her. We shot her in Canada and it was like we had the queen of Canada come to set. And she’s a beautiful person with so many stories to tell. And when she talks, everyone stops to listen.

Sounds like the making of a B-rate horror movie.

When this book was published and they made the first movie, In response to hysterics Atwood said it was just a story.

"Sounds like the making of a B-rate horror movie."

The fantasy world of the Unicorn Farm has only created a toxic scat that has littered the political landscape. Hopefully, the American people will do a pressure wash with their vote.

”disconnect between Americans and the media giants that claim to represent them?”

Since when do “media giants” claim to “represent Americans”?

Found a kitten in the bushes about 5 days ago. I named her Candace.

What made me laugh about The Handmaids Tale is the amount of projection of the left on who is most likely to involve themselves in controlling reproductive rights. A leftie was gleefully telling me about it until I mentioned that in such a case it would be the left who organized such a thing as the right is all for individual rights and the left is all about the state. Instant silence. I am sure it ruined the show for her. Haha

Hey folks, am recommend not buying leftist magazines. We should stop giving our money to people who hate us. I am currently staying at a Trump hotel. I use my money to support those who support me and not to those who would murder me if they could get away with it.

I am currently staying at a Trump hotel.

That must be nice. I looked at the new Trump hotel in DC, and it is a little pricy for us. It would be fun to stay the night there and visit some of the museums, but not at that price. We’ll just do the usual, drive to the Metro and ride the train in for the day. Maybe we can take a walk through the lobby.
