You’re right, we need more posts about lollipops and rainbows so we can persuade ourselves that everything is fine, Trump has the firm loyalty of Senate Republicans and the GOP establishment has our best interests at heart. That way, we don’t have to call our senators and tell them to do their jobs and defend the president; instead we can sleep like sheep
Maybe you could list Trumps allies in the senate than? Trump has been up against the media, entrenched bureaucracy (deep state) and the house. Now add the senate into the Trump opposition and explain to me how he can survive completely isolated in DC? I don’t think the fisa investigation or barr/durham investigations are going to produce anything. In fact it’s possible that barr/durham may even come out with damaging accusations against Trump. I’ve seen no indication one way or the other. It’s my opinion that if Trump is removed the dems will run the table. Who is going to go out and vote for a republican after they remove Trump? I can’t see a scenario where Trumps has any support in DC.

I don’t trust Mitch. He is up for re-election. I think he knew at the time the Senate Intelligence Committee was up to their eyeballs in the Russian hoax and may have been involved. I think Mitch is panicking and doing stupid stuff as a result. I don’t think there is a good option for him as he sees it. There may even be an orange jump suit in his future.
McConnell is putting distance between Trump and himself. Not the best strategy for someone running for reelection in a state Trump is very popular in.
Why would President Trump discuss a phone call with a foreign leader to McConnell anyway..is that what Presidents do, every time they talk to someone they have to run to the Senate to tell them what they discussed..its NO ONE’S BUSINESS

3. If the Republicans allow Trump to be removed from office, who cares if the Democrats "run the table" in 2020? There will be no reason to vote for Republicans anymore in that case.
4. No offense, but you clearly don't have a clue about the IG's responsibilities and Barr's role in the Trump administration. In fact, if anything damaging accusations come out about Trump NOW from this IG/Durham investigation, then the entire DOJ and its special counsel charade will be completely undermined.
