Three Houston Astros fans needed a security escort after they said they were hassled in the stands at Yankee Stadium, but they're getting the last laugh.
Their beloved team is getting ready for the World Series, and they're going, too, thanks to Astros pitcher Lance McCullers Jr. Cruz Arcia Jr., Nathan Rocha and Kristina Contreras were in New York to celebrate a birthday and managed to get tickets to Friday's Game 5 of the American League Championship Series.
"We were able to get some tickets," Arcia told CNN affiliate KTRK. "And we've been to nearly every Astros home game for several years."

normally, I would say that the chapman fastball provided much of the power for that blast, but altuve crushed a slider.
it is quite something.

Ichiro was on our hometown team when we lived in Kobe, Japan, 1994-2002, by which time he had moved to Seattle. It had nothing to do with superstition, just his natural batting stance.
Early in his career, managers and coaches tried to fix it. The first one to leave it alone was the manager of the Kobe Blue Wave team named Nomura, a crusty old retired catcher. And the rest, as they say, is history.

Okay you made me look that up.
Altuve said he was happy to be at the White House.

Yes, I am. And correction on the Orix Blue Wave manager. The first manager to leave it alone was Akira Ōgi, a hall of fame second basemen who batted him in the #2 spot. Nomura was Ogi's successor who moved him up to the lead-off spot. Suzuki started his career at 5'9" and 124 lbs.

Good to know. I think people thought that based on all the death glare photos.

I’ve been there. It’s only happened twice in World Series history. Bill Mazeroski in 1960 and Joe Carter in 1993. It’s a very exclusive club.

Apparently they did. Altuve posted a picture with that same expression while looking at the World Series Trophy.
He said he was listening to probably the most important guy and in the world and he couldn't be laughing and doing stupid things.
You had me worried for a bit - I really like Altuve and didn't want it to be true that he hated Trump.
After reading that Carlos Correa didn't go so he could help Puerto Rico victims I was disappointed

Where Im from that means trece or 13. the 13th letter of the alphabet is M Which stands for La Eme or the Mexican Mafia. This is a sureño hand sign. Sureños generally swear allegiance to the Mexican mafia.
OMG, that's incredible sleuthing on your part! The guy is actually a gang member flashing signs..........LOL!
Or maybe, just maybe, he was signaling that the Astros were up 3 - 1 over the Skankees.........Nah, not a chance......Sheesh!

When I was a kid my Dad took me down to New York to see a Yankees/Red Sox game.I was 11 and a huge Sox fan...but knew nothing about New York...or the rivalry.Long story short several fans around me were staring daggers at me for rooting for the Sox. It became so bad that my Dad had to step in and basically warn them to lay off me...or else.

guess it was clocked at 95 mph...both teams that game...especially Houston’s defense was baseball played at a supreme level. Just amazing to watch.
