Until now, only one of the seven ships that went down in the air-and-sea battle — five Japanese vessels and two American ships — had been found. Amazing!

This is the “Research Vessel Petrel, Commissioned by philanthropist Paul G. Allen. The Petrel seeks to locate and investigate historically significant shipwrecks and underwater ecosystems.”
They have done brilliant work finding WW2 ships and subs. If you have an Instagram account, the Petral can be followed.

I’m sure the timing is a complete coincidence.
That being said, it’s amazing what Human Ingenuity can accomplish. Sitting at the bottom in 18,000 feet of Water and there it is.
