There will be two different categories of criminals here: actual criminals who use these firearms to commit violent crime, and legal owners of these firearms who will become criminals because owning them will have become a crime. OK, I finally understand why Democrats feel that criminals should not go to jail for committing crimes. If they are caught once and told to stop, the Democrats just have faith the crooks will not do it again.
