I can’t help but wonder what his wife thinks of all this.
I had no idea that he had a wife, I always viewed him as sitting alone on the 2nd floor of his Victorian house on weeknights, playing his guitar to the music on his stereo while smoking a joint. Then he hits the bar Friday and Saturday nights. Rich kids have no problem finding mentally-vacant women that don’t look at anything past the money that a moron is spending on her, so I never saw him as the settling-down type.
I’m sure the wife is just a political prop and he spends many MANY days on the road without her, which suits her just fine. When he burns out politically and she decides to punch out, all she has to do is catch him with a chick, which won’t be difficult at all (I’m betting he’s enough of a moron to make no attempt at covering his tracks). She’ll get a few million from the divorce, which he will recoup from the family fortune that will take a 0.01% hit. With the money they’re making off local govt. influence-peddling, in a year it’ll be like it never happened.
