Tourists, even legit ones, don't drive around with that much cash on hand.
Must be Muslims.
The Washington Post headline for this article is, somewhat surprisingly, more evenhanded: “U.S. officials say British family illegally crossed border from Canada on purpose”
Oh brother, invoking the holocaust.
If the marauders would prefer a more permanent home in a Turkish prison I bet that could be arranged.
I hope the USCBP planted contraband on these American hating leftists.
Piss poor reporting in this story. The author appears to take everything the Conners say face value, and doesn’t ask why they had $16,000 cash or why Canada wouldn’t let them back in
The Leftards can’t claim racism since this family is white.
With the Brits living among so many muzzies, you would think it would not be so east to “TRAUMATIZE” them.
Stay home Lovlies, you are safe with your Muslem mayors.
What a bunch of Hog Wash!!! Lie Lie Lie!!
but in any case, two more brits have been re-exposed to the concept of sovereignty and national borders. And that is a very good thing
This story is such crap. Brits, with passports can easily enter the US. A family on vacation, with three small kids just out driving Around? And they were detoured by an animal? Unless that animal was a bull moose standing its ground, I think the story sounds fishy.
Yeah, you would be detained. They would check out their credentials. The kids would be given a TV to watch and something to drink. They would be on their way in an hour.
Dec 5, 2018 · In 2014, Mexican authorities arrested and tortured a U.S. Marine for “accidentally crossing the border,” ... a wrong turn and accidentally crossed the border before being stopped by Mexican authorities: ...
You mean like classrooms all across our country now?
This story reeks of new world order ideology.
“In a statement, CBP said U.S. agents also determined that two of the family members had applied for travel authorization to visit the United States and were denied. A senior CBP official said the Connorses applied for visa waivers last year, and it was not immediately clear why they were rejected.”
Tell all your friends!
Brits, complaining about the cold and the food in America. I’ve heard it all now.
Could be lots worse for them.
Could have been U.S. citizens accidentally crossing the border into Mexico with a firearm, or even one single round of ammo lost in a corner of the trunk.
If they’re legitimately tourists, you stop them, inform them that they crossed the border, and escort them back to Canada.
In a statement, CBP said U.S. agents also determined that two of the family members had applied for travel authorization to visit the United States and were denied. A senior CBP official said the Connorses applied for visa waivers last year, and it was not immediately clear why they were rejected. The official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe the case, said the family four adults and three small children were in possession of $16,000 in cash at the time of their arrest.Attempts were made to return the individuals to Canada, however, Canada refused to allow their return and two attempts to contact the United Kingdom consulate were unsuccessful, the CBP statement read. Because Canada refused to admit the family, CBP was required by law to turn the family members over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Did they vote while they were there? Or is it too early to get some ballots ready to harvest next year?
