I’m with you on that. Jewel meat sucks. In Costco yesterday I saw a 58 oz pumpkin pie for $5,99. 20 oz. pumpkin pie at Jewel costs $7.29. Thieves. Albertson’s owns it this week but who knows about next week.
The only upside to Jewel is it is close by the house. They up their prices because they are convenient, and many customers are older and aren’t going to trek miles to shop elsewhere to save a buck. I’ll go there for lunchmeat and to pick up a few things. Other than that, the bulk of my shopping is at Wallmart, then Costco for meats. I can’t imagine places like Jewel surviving if they continue on their current path. Jewel lost me as a loyal customer.
