ABC News aired a video on Sunday that host Tom Llamas said depicted a Turkish attack in northern Syria against Kurdish civilians. Turkey is indeed pushing into Syria and slaughtering Kurds along the way, but the video ABC News played last night is from a military gun demonstration in Kentucky that was published to YouTube in 2017.
This video, right here, appearing to show Turkeys military bombing Kurd civilians in a Syrian border town, Llamas said on the October 13 broadcast as the video played.

Sum Ting Wong.
It’s far worse than this, because the video was edited and cropped to remove the crowd....
So... who did that and why
ABC - well we kinda got caught out on that and well, we’re good now, right? Right?
[ ABC News Broadcasts Fake Syria Bombing Video That’s Actually From a Kentucky Military Show in 2017 ]
Dats all gud. It be fakes but accurate!
They can't even report on the weather without faking it.
Remember Anderson Pooper-scooper standing in a ditch?
ABC put out Fake News?! Im shocked, just shocked I tell you all. Shocked. /heavy sarc
Shock and Awe in Kentucky
“ABC News regrets the error, an ABC News spokesperson told Gizmodo via email.”
No they don’t.
This time a sharp eyed viewer caught it. How many dozens of other times have they sneaked this stuff past us? Gas attacks anyone? Sarin in London anyone?
Total lies and crap. Unless of course one believes the file tape of a recreational event in Kentucky 2017 is right there beside the current war in middle east clip.
They picked a night clip because they thought nobody would catch them.
It's actually an encouraging development that even those employed in The Fake News Media complex don't automatically assume what they are reading off the TelePrompTer is factual.
Don’t colleges teach people how to conduct thorough research anymore? Nothing but laziness today. Use the first thing that pops up on an internet search. Nobody verifies sources anymore, or whether the stuff is even accurate. Just run with it, because they actually think nobody in the audience will even know the difference.
ABC must pay a severe cost. Loss of license, loss of brand, perpetrators jailed for life.
From Rush Limbaugh’s show today:
Rush: Okay. So ABC News uses video from 2017 and then tries to pass it off as Turkey bombing the Kurds in Syria. Now, why would they do this? They do it for one reason. Theyre trying to nail Donald Trump. Theyre trying to say that mass murder is occurring, and its Trumps fault and this is not anything new. Faking video, editing video, editing 911 calls.
These kind of tricks the media plays all the time. Some of them are harmless like the Cokie Roberts, it was a local Washington story, but this is full-fledged illusion creation. This is lying to news customers. And the correspondent on the ground in Syria playing video from a protest attack at the Knob Creek by the way, thats great bourbon. Have you ever had any Brian? You ever had any Knob Creek? Oh, you havent had any Knob Creek? Knob Creek on the rocks, maybe its what led to the shooting, I dont know, but man, you should try it.
"ABC News regrets getting caught"
There. Fixed it.
“So... who did that and why”
Good question!
So when is Kentucky going to stop attacking Syria?
Why, under any circumstances, would you advocate for fairness? Its not a joke, not parody, not sarcasm, its not fodder for a meme. That man would stand on your neck and shoot you in the skull.
...also easier to blur details, erase the crowd.
Also, as another Freeper pointed out, it was shot from the perspective of a Turkish OFFENSIVE, which is nonsense.
