It’s kind of ridiculous to “Bring the troops back home” by moving them to another part of Syria to “monitor and prevent” something from happening , when they were monitoring and preventing something from happening.
Plus SO MANY ISIS members are escaping because it’s kinda hard to keep an eye on THOUSANDS of prisoners when YOU’RE BEING BOMBED INTO SMITHEREENS!!
I don’t see that at all. POTUS is being symbolic, practical, and measured all at the same time.
He is symbolizing that America is not a global police force.
He is deploying debilitating economic weapons to force compliance with peace and security policies.
He is keeping a small contingent of troops ready to destroy any ISIS prisoners (70,000+) that escape.
The Turks are fully capable of managing the incarceration of 70,000+ ISIS prisoners. They have a long history of prison and jail management. It is not a pretty history but then ISIS fighters are barbaric. Turkish barbarism meeting ISIS barbarism is a good deal. POTUS is cautioning Turks to show standards of humanitarianism.
It’s because you’re believing the nonsense that the media is spewing. The Turks were going in with or without the U.S. Trump moved them out of the fight that was coming. He wasn’t willing to let them be a “trip wire”. He didn’t just move them without cause as you seem to believe
Well, here’s a thought. If you disagree with a moving a handful of troops out of the way of a larger force, gear up and take their places. That is the solution.
