I have never seen an instructor offer a one-on-one live fire class of any sort for $30.

I was fortunate, on my first and only renewal of my CPL, I was able to get the instruction from the husband of a woman I used to work with. They lived out in the country and had a shooting range on their property.

I think it was a 6 or 8 hour class which included lunch by Linda, his wife..........

Since then, Michigan didn't require follow up training and I was able to renew the license just as if I was renewing my drivers license......

My best CPL class was 1 hour of legal instructions, 3 hours of dry-fire (snap cap) training, including several different malfunction drills, break for lunch, and then 4 hours of live-fire practice at an outdoor range in the county. The live-fire drills were of the "practical combat" type at 3-7 yards.

It was about $150 each with a class size of 8 people. Definitely worth the money. Haven't seen a deal like that since.
