In the 1950s, researchers stumbled upon a new class of drugs that provided relief for those suffering from schizophrenia. These drugs were known as antipsychotics and, as the name suggests, they reduced symptoms like hallucinations and delusions primarily by reducing the levels of dopamine in the brain. This led clinicians and scientists to argue that dopamine was linked to the experiences of psychotic symptoms, and a concerted research effort ensued, seeking to solve the puzzle of why excess dopamine might produce hallucinations.
Although it was later shown that increasing dopamine could produce hallucinations, establishing a consistent link between them, it has not been clear why.
They achieved this by taking advantage of a simple fact: Your brain is lazy. It makes shortcuts to understand the deluge of information that bombards it daily. If youre presented with consistent information, consistently, your brain adjust its expectations of reality in turn. This is the basis of Bayesian theories of how we perceive the world that is, the brain makes inferences about the world around us based on statistics and probabilities on what is likely to occur.
[I]ncreasing dopamine made it more difficult for participants to adjust their perception an effect comparable to how the hallucinators had struggled. Moreover, the extent to which participants struggled was strongly associated with the severity of hallucinations but not with any diagnosis of schizophrenia. In other words, the difficulty appeared to be associated with a symptom, not a diagnosis.
Using brain imaging, the researchers also showed that an increased capacity for dopamine release, from a part of the brain known as the striatum (an area involved in schizophrenia), was associated with the severity of hallucinations. Together, these experiments showed that excess dopamine was associated with difficulty in accurately predicting reality.

Sounds like a quiet place, right?
Not when a scamming con artist decides to dream big.
And dream big they did, they planned an assault and annexation of a community:

Dang, that’s WEIRD.
I know.
We aren’t on drugs, stupid, or insane so it sounds like something from some fail montage comedy show.
Especially when you look at the pictures.
She’s apparently a serial deed fraud con artist, there’s another article on her.

What an annoying way to make a living!
THAT is the definition of “Stupid.” Is she an Elizabeth Warren Wannabe? *sheesh*
Morning Floof looks full and contented and sleepy.
Good morning.
The shower has been had and I’m about ready to finish a couple of letters so I can get them out in the mail today.
The rain has finally stopped, but I don’t think that’s it for this week. Maybe more to come. Next week for sure.
I think every one of my little flashlights need new batteries. I need to buy batteries! Or more flashlights.
Good morning. Nice as it would be to nap in the sunshine, we have to leave by 8:00 for the Museum of York County, SC, to study Wildlife. Drama Queen asked if she could go, and I said, “Sure, as long as you’re in the van at 8:00 a.m.” We’ll see what happens ...
Have fun!
Good morning, all. Happy Friday.
I don’t know why that woman does deed cons. She should just run for Congress, then she can rip people off and remain legal.
She sure doesn’t seem to know about anything but violence. Jail seems to be her actual aim.
She’s probably not articulate enough to run for congress...
That didn’t stop Mad Maxine...
Oh. Yes. You’re right. Twins?
Mad Maxine has better complexion...
Democrat Congresscritter: “Fuh fuh fuh fuh Republicans fault fuh fuh fuh fuh send money fuh fuh fuh.”
Republican Congresscritter: “Fuh fuh fuh fuh Democrats fault fuh fuh fuh fuh send money fuh fuh fuh.”
She can’t do that?
We did. Frank was poorly, Drama Queen went to bed, and I don’t know what’s up with Tom. I thought he’d be at school now, but maybe he’s back.
Thank you.
