Opinions published as opinions? Protected by the First Amendment.
Lies published to defraud the public? Should not be protected.
Your post is something I’ve wondered about ever since Walter Cronkite started altering the truth.
Today they don’t even try to hide their lies. It is defrauding the public. It needs to be address and outlawed. But there’s a problem there, to outlaw it requires the outlaws to vote for it. It will never happen.
Even when “R’s” have the majority in our government, it will never happen as these gutless wonders fear the press more than they fear the Devil.
Hitler’s propaganda machine did not stop until Germany was overrun. I have a feeling the same is true here. When our society becomes so decayed it will likely be overrun or outright taken over by the ChiComs. Only to be replaced with their version of propaganda.
