Are you seriously taking the word of the 14 year old who threw food at the guy’s car in the first place?
I’m guessing he did something like drive over a sidewalk or most a few feet of grass, chased and grabbed the kid and threatened them or maybe slapped them at worst. One thing we do know. It’ll be the last time they throw food at a car and probably the most discipline they’ve had in their life.
Read the rest of the story. He is being held on $230,000 bail. You don’t get that kind of bail for tapping a kid on the back of the head. He also stole a backpack and cellphone which the police recovered in his possession. Makes the case pretty open and shut.
The driver also stole the teen’s backpack and cell phone, the lieutenant said.
Paramedics responded and treated the 14-year-old boy at the scene, Grippo said, adding that the boy was not seriously injured.
Officers arrested the driver, later identified as 41-year-old Garrett Perry, and recovered the teen’s backpack and cellphone, he said.
Perry was booked into San Diego Central Jail around 9:35 p.m. Monday on suspicion of one count each of robbery, assault with a deadly weapon likely to produce great bodily injury and child cruelty causing injury, according to jail records. He was being held in lieu of $230,000 bail pending arraignment, scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
Are seriously justifying trying to kill someone for throwing food at a car?
