Bingo. I have seen it as an attempt to normalize the very different sort of ‘deplorable’. The message is positively Communist. And the movie is made the way Joker is not exactly villain.
Yeah and De Niro’s getting #MeToo’d by that former assistant. Couldn’t happen to a more deserving not-very-smart actor.
