Cats are badass and pound-for-pound they are much more lethal than a canine. I watched my cat, an very large, un-neutered orange tabby/Siamese mix, leap down from a flatbed truck onto the head of a large Great Dane to maul its face. It latched its front claws into the ears of the Great Dane and proceeded to rake its face and muzzle with its back claws. After my cat was done he walked away without even looking back.

He was not cornered, he chose that fight.

There are quite a few tanks named after a feline. The Panther tank, the Tiger tank, etc. But to my knowledge there are no tanks named after a canine. There is no Poodle tank, for example.

“Cats are badass and pound-for-pound they are much more lethal than a canine.”

There was a show on that counted down the most dangerous predators in the world. They used a variety of statistics to determine the rankings. How often a kill was made, type of animal killed, size of predator compared to prey, etc.
The number 1 predator was the common house cat due to the wide variety of prey they hunt, size relative to prey the house cat ranked #1 in every statistic.
The common house cat is also the only predator that kills for fun.
