A fortress perhaps, but not really so secret.
In the event of a European conflict, the Russians would probably wish to secure the Baltic and its sea lanes, but I suspect they would have bigger priorities than Sweden, at least in the beginning. They would probably allow Sweden to assert neutrality, direct the fight elsewhere, and save Sweden for last. (If sucessful!)
This bullcrap about Russia and European conflict is getting tiresome. Russian defence budget is 10% or less than of US for about 20 last years and the number of personnel is 15% of Soviet strength. It is a purely a defensive force mainly focused on strategic component.
For comparison USSR continuously outspent US on military between 1927 and 1990 sometimes by a factor of ten and it didn’t take over Europe anyway. Why now?
