This is very strange superhero movie in that the superhero isn’t due to show up for about two decades.

That is why I did not care for the TV series Gotham. It was all about the creation of all the Batman super-villains and was very dark. I think we were supposed to see all the evil as mildly amusing. I don't care for that kind of stuff as "entertainment". If I am going to see these evil characters, I want to see Batman kick their asses.

That's one of the reasons I like a lot of westerns. There are usually lawless types running rampant and some good men have to put them out of business and establish law and order.

Gotham was an early evening show and it might be the sickest show to ever play that early. They used to hold the more adult content for later in the evening, but a) they don’t care now and b) kids don’t go to sleep at 9 or 10 any more. Anyway, there was an episode where the Penguin served a woman’s children to her for dinner. There was other graphic violence. But what made me quit watching was when Penguin confessed his love for the Riddler. 🤮

You couldn't be more wrong. The villains in the DC Comics are just as legendary as the superheroes.

I thought Gotham was a great show, and that guy who played the Penguin did an excellent job.
