A Texas woman said she was shamed online by a potential employer who took a photo of her in a bikini from her Instagram account and shared it on the company's page while warning other applicants that it was unprofessional.
Emily Clow, who according to her Twitter account lives in Austin, said she applied for a marketing coordinator position at a business startup, Kickass Masterminds.
Clow told NBC News that shortly after applying, a company representative reached out to her and said the firm wanted to move ahead with the application process and recommended that she follow them on Instagram. Hoping to improve her chances of landing the position, she did.
But as she was scrolling through the company's Instagram story, Clow said she saw a photo of herself in a red two-piece bathing suit with a warning message to potential applicants.
Clow said the company had swiped the photo from her personal Instagram account, and when she saw it she was shocked.
"You don't expect a potential employer to do something like this," she told NBC. "To have someone that seems really intrigued and wants to meet with you, only to see this is shocking."
Since Clow's post has gone viral, the company's website and social media pages appear to have been taken down.

Videos from the founder of kickass, Sara Christensenv have been up for six years but, predominantly the last 3 years.

But it turns out Kickass founder Christensen doesn’t follow her own advice: while the company site, LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter accounts were all disabled, and its Instagram was switched to private... Christensen’s old YouTube channel was not.
In her videos, which mostly have between 14 and 379 views, Christensen advises people on such topics as getting your body back, hanging on to your man, and her favorite bras.
“Use your words to Affirm, Encourage, Acknowledge, and Appreciate,” one video advises. “Girlfriends, stop the damn nagging and bitching.”
In another, she advises viewers to figure out the reason they want to lose weight, such as: “I want to wear a bathing suit to the beach without being embarrassed.”
either Sara is stupid or this a lame a marketing scheme...

Company had no business doing this, hope they are sued out of business.
A few years ago, during the Obama Recession, I heard stories on the news of companies demanding the Facebook passwords job applicants as a condition of employment. One applicant told a reporter that he deleted his account rather than turn over his password.
My fave for sure.
Nice looking woman, so it had to be a nice looking photo. He must have been a snotty homosexual, the Shepherd Smith type.
“Really, how dare employers ask for peoples social media?”
I dated a recruiter for several years. Believe me. It matters what you post on social media.
“Underboob meets overexposure.
Both sides have a lot to learn.”
Those bits don’t get a lot of sun. I can see where there would be contrast issues.
Lemme put it out there.
Guy does the very same thing, cheesecake shot in his tight swimshorts or boxer briefs. What company like this is going to hire him? Or are they not gonna take the unecessary risk.
