Speculation about the illegal coup de’tat / sham impeachment by wacky evil spawn in DC. Marines my be needed to protect POTUS.
Additional speculation-regarding the injured paratroopers. Likely due to low level jumps which makes it hard to avoid the trees. Happened in Mississippi, IIRC, and they point out that the terrain is similar to DC(swamp/land).
And so that's the rampant speculation going on. I don't know what to think.

The impact of this MARADMIN like every other one like it is only on units having an Inspector General (IG) inspection this FY. Because this better be the current copy on this subject in your files. The timing suggests an FY update. The Reserves could easily muster based on last year's MARADMIN on the same subject.

As for this, low level jumps within limits actually would lessen the chances of ending up in the trees. The primary Jump Master (PJM), will be taking the hit for this as it was training. IOW, if the conditions weren't right don't jump. 80 guys in the trees is evidence conditions weren't right.
