my experience with genetic testing

My best friend's wife found a lump in her breast a few short weeks after having her mammogram and testing clear.

She immediately sought out a different doctor who confirmed her finding and had her genetically tested. She tested positive and ended up having "everything" removed. The gene runs in her family and a number of women in her family passed of breast cancer.

She's been cancer free @ four years now. She celebrates every anniversary, and her attitude on life now vs. then is a world of difference. She's a joy to be around.
