Trump supporters hanging their hopes on “straight-shooter” Horowitz getting to the bottom of alleged FBI surveillance abuses during the 2016 election could be disappointed.
I’m not expecting Horowitz to get to the bottom of it. He just needs to provide enough of an opening for other people to get to the bottom of it. Ideally his report gives political cover to “follow the facts where they lead” and helps justify the more serious digging of guys like Durham.
