According to a statement from the Holy See press office Oct. 1, the raid was conducted at the offices of the general affairs section of the Secretariat of State.

The Secretary of State is Cardinal Pietro Parolin, who Francis wants to be elected pope after he's gone.

Parolin is the one who came up with the agreements with the Chinese government and the Russian Orthodox Church, throwing the underground Catholic Church in China and the Russian Byzantine Catholic Church under the bus.
