I ate there for the first time about 2 months ago.
That was the worst crap I have ever had.
My digestive tract agreed...

You have obviously never been to a White Castle at 2 am, after a night of drinking. At that point, they are amazing!

Take the pattie off a Big Mac and eat it without the "Special Sauce"and you will find that its the most flavorless piece of greasy cardboard you've ever eaten.

So McDonalds already has a meatless burger that millions eat. This is nothing new.

I'm about 95% carnivore at this point .... feel great, various health issues have gone away .... so, the only thing "impossible" about the meat I'm eating is when I buy a roast that doesn't want to fit in my cast iron pan to sear it off!! Here's the roast from Monday - delicious! [PS - I've done a lot of serious nutritional research so I'm not being 'flippant/unserious' about the carnivore issue - your comments are right on point!]

Naw...they're only doing a test market now...won't effect their stock. Now if they "replaced" real meat burgers with this vegie cr**, it would be a different thing.

If I wanted vegies, I'd order a salad.

It’s ironic, and sad, but Burger King used to sell the BK Vegie Burger. It was one of the best vegie burgers you could ever taste, although you would never mistake it for meat. It had a nut, grain, and mushroom taste. They never advertised it, but it had been on their menu for a decade. They dropped the BK Veggie when they came out with the Impossible Burger. I’m not sure they understand that if you wanted a hamburger why not buy a real one? A veggie burger is not a trick hamburger, it is something else and tastes like something else.

Real meat is only for the elite socialist overlords. The rest of us need to be reduced to functionally illiterate agrarian serfs and need to learn our place. Our proper diet is nuts and berries that we gather for ourselves and supplement with insects and larvae for protein.

I will set off on my gathering as of today.
I know gorillas use twigs for bug gathering, I’m on it.

I don’t understand why it has the amount of calories as their regular burger.

Morningstar does a passable chipotle black bean burger patty. Tasty, thick, good-sized portion. We eat it on a burger bun with brown mustard and cheese. Have also eaten them as a plate item with a regular meal. Get them at Sam’s Club in a 12-pack.

If course, we eat it for what it is...a black bean patty...not as a substitute for a real beef patty or in an effort to cut back on fat, calories, etc. We just like’em.

I hope the Veg-Heads enjoy their Impossible burger. It goes for $9.00 for a 12 oz. package. That's $12.00 per pound. Compared to a $3.00 per pound ground beef. Hardly worth the effort of even trying it out.

The fad will die out in the next year.

I’ve had both fake burgers. You’d be surprised how close they match the texture & taste of real hamburger.

I keep buying them.
