Empire star Terrence Howard says he is 'looking forward to just being Terry for a while' after the hit FOX show ends.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with DailyMailTV, the 50-year-old star also called for actors to be given better access to mental healthcare and likened his job to that of a soldier.
The Cleveland native also defended co-star Jussie Smollett who was arrested for staging a fake hate attack on himself in January and said the greatest moment of his life so far is a visit to Disneyland he made with his family on Monday.
Howard was speaking after being handed a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and on the day that the sixth and final season of Empire premiered.

If you go into acting and its still just a part time job, you take other jobs to get you by between short gigs, or you live of family and/or friends until the acting starts to pay off or you give it up.
If you made it well off and on in acting, then unless you are stupid you are socking big chunks of earnings away so you’ll have something to lean on between assignments. When you have done as well as Terrance Howard then unless you are stupid you took some of your very good earnings and invested it, some for long term income and some for retirement.
If actors need anything - regarding mental healthcare - it’s an economic education about financial does and don’ts for actors.
