I don't know that those two things are much different. Either way, the allegatipon is that Trump is using th epower of the office and threats, expecially involving foreign entities, to affect the 2020 election.

If Trump goes after corruption by a political candaidate, that is interefering in the election. The election of a corrupt person has priority over rooting out corruption. This is the position they are taking, and they are very open and brazen about it.
