They thank this administration instead of the Trump administration. Why, because its on MacDailyNews site (Just guessing that the apple engaged arent fans of Trump) The editors and publishers of MacDailyNews are conservative. . . And regularly get blistered by the Democrats and Progressives who post there.

Macs will be moving to Apples own chips soon and dropping Intel.. not sure when but I would expect it sooner than later They wont be shifting for the high-end Macs, but likely for the lower end.

What balderdash. The tariff incentivized Apple to make them here. The opposite of the titles inference. Apple has been manufacturing MacPro in Austin Texas since 2013. Nothing to do with tariffs, The tariff exemptions are for those few parts included in the new MacPro that still come from China. The old MacPro had fewer than 10% imported parts. I dont know what percentage of the new MacPro is made with imported components.

I have an Intel CPU in my old PC, which is limited to 8 gigabytes of RAM. I really want a new PC with one of those newer AMD Ryzen and at least 16 gigabytes.
Maybe after Christmas. sigh

Show me the needle moving towards Republicans on Austin city council and in judicial races for Travis county.
Will people be moving to Austin or will this strictly be existinglocal labor? From what I understand, they are using the same labor force that was there from building the 2013 MacPro there.
Austins Democrat problem is because its Americas 11th largest city with the same issues of every other large city. . . They elect progressives for some irrational reason. One reason I can think of is that the city of Austin has a population of about 1 million of all ages, but over 100,000 of those are college students. Thats a huge block of rabidly liberal voters these days who can overwhelm any conservative leanings of full time native voters.

We need to place a giant billboard across from the plant reading:
Thank President Trump for your Great, High Paying Job!

Define few. I applaud the manufacturing here but Apple HAS A LONG WAY TO GO. Bring it all home. Make iphones here. Do it. Take down the suicide nets. Sigh. How many times do YOU have to be told that FoxConn has a far lower suicide rate than the general population of China itself, or the suicide rate of US IVY LEAGUE COLLEGES among young people in the same age demographics. . . By about a factor of TEN? In addition, central_va, youve been told multiple timeswhat is it now, about 200 times now? that that spate of 18 suicides had not one thing to do with Apples assembly lines but instead occurred at a assembly plants over 150 miles away from any plants working on Apple products at plants variously making Sony Playstations, HP computers, Microsoft Xboxes, and Nokia cellular phones. Youve been TOLD this hundreds of times on multiple threads, with linked proof, and yet you continue to LIE and LIE and LIE, posting the LIE time and time again, just to make Apple, who had NOTHING to do with what happened at another company, look bad. Since you do it knowingly, and deliberately, Shame on you.

Since Mac has long since stopped using the Motorola processor line in favor of Intel, how is a Mac more insanely powerful than the equivalent PC?
It is really hard to find a PC workstation with the same horsepower as the upcoming MacPro, as it uses server and datacenter level processors at its heart. Historically, Macs have not come with the best graphics options. Some would argue that the MacOS has less overhead and flotsam than a Windows 10 system would, though I believe that is less true than it once was.
As always, Apple is happy to charge a premium for its products.

Not in the Mac Pro workstations they won't. Apples A series chips make nifty phones, and generate less heat per operation than Intel's, but it won't be matching high end Xeon performance anytime soon.

It includes a security chip with a secure enclave. Among other things, it’s used to encrypt the filesystem. Secure enclave is what gives law enforcement fits on the iPhones.
