That’s way above my paygrade, to analyze ‘the relationship’ of the U.S. President and the First Lady.
Bill and Hill’s was not hard to figure out.
Yeah, can’t believe he took the job.
He had the perfect life before the presidency.
Just love of country I guess.
Yeah but think about it. Not a week went by that we didnt read about Michelle ball busting Barak. Her snide comments and icy glares. Almost made one feel sorry for Barak. Almost. And then there were the Clintons marriage. What a farce that was.
But I have never read of any discord or acrimony between the Trumps.
my thoughts too.
They are an amazing couple and we are SO VERY blessed to have them as our POTUS and FLOTUS.
Much improved over the rubbish we’ve had, in OUR house, over the past two + decades.
Everything I see indicates they have a great relationship, and I believe they have great love for one another. More power to them. They’ll never call Trump’s White House Camelot, but sure I’m it’s a lot more like that imaginary place, than JFK’s.
What’s the phrase?
“Thick As Thieves!”
Hilary warns Bill against divorce:
“You can’t quit me. My Legacy remains at stake. No, I don’t want you in that way, but I’ll make damn sure nobody else does either!”
No guessing about it. He stated so a great many times during the primaries.
Additionally, if you take the time to watch the very many interviews he gave beginning in the early 80’s, he indicated that while he has strong opinions about how our country is mismanaged and is being sold down the river, he said repeatedly, he really doesn’t want to be president. That he loves his life and he loves his business.
But, he said, if things got too bad and he thought it was getting totally out of control he would strongly consider it.
After 8 years of Obama and the possibility of a Hillary presidency, he decoded it was time to take action and run to save OUR COUNTRY, a country he loves and gave him the opportunity to achieve what he had achieved from complete and utter disaster.
I thank God Almighty he did so. But, do not envy his task. The man is under siege from all sides 24/7/365.
No worthless politician could ever come close to accomplishing what he has while withstanding such an assault. No politician would even try.
As long as it does not interfere in the job for which he was elected, I do not much care. I did not vote for Melania - or Ivanka, and neither one holds elected office.
If I really placed the Christian sanctity of Marriage as a prime requisite for electing a secular officer, then I would never have voted for Donald Trump.
He has fornicated, adulterated, and divorced multiple times. (Those are manifest facts; deal with them.) He is no paragon or morality, no matter how any of you try to portray him as otherwise.
I chose to vote for him the day he announced because he was a successful private-sector businessman, and not a parasitic public-sector lawyer - and because I was convinced that he had a genuine regard for this nation.
I certainly did not choose to vote for him because I thought he was a moral paragon, for I knew too much about him, going back to the 1980s, to ever think that.
As an ordained minister who has lived a chaste life - I spent two years at one church working closely with all marriage ceremonies - I do not take these things lightly, and I will not jump on the bandwagon like a Pavlovian Dog and praise his current marriage just to bolster support for him (and make myself vicariously feel good).
He is not a god, or a king. He is an elected official. That is all.
P.S.
To those who think he gave up so much, and has suffered so much:
Does he still have his properties, his freedom, and his power? Yes.
Does Paul Manafort have any of those things? No.
Try placing your sympathies with those who helped him to get elected - AND WHOSE LIVES WERE DAMAGED OR RUINED!
Thanks for the post.
That we have a partnership in the White House is something we can applaud. Just recently a ‘click bait’ site was telling of a brewing tension in that DC structure. How the two reacted toward the other. Nothing but lies and rumor. OMG, still reporting about the ‘hand slap’ given when the couple visited Israel and the Vatican.
Prayers that their marriage stays strong in spite of the efforts to tear them apart. Destroying them = destroying our nation.
MAGA
Not Real:
HA! HA! HA!
Enjoyed that.
What a diifference.
Most of the people in this country have been divorced at least once, pastor.
“Love of country”, what was left of it. Man, what a undertaking he set out to achieve.
Thank God.
Yeah, I totally admire him and Melania for that.
They didn’t have to do it. Would be better off if they hadn’e.
Thanks,,,
