Easy! Gospel of John clearly explains the ‘oneness’ of God WHICH IS IN PURPOSE ... NOT PERSONNA
John 17 21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
NOTICE: “THAT THEY MAY BE ONE, EVEN AS WE ARE ONE”.
Yes God, Christ and the Holy Ghost are one in purpose. No .... they are not an undefined heavenly mist which morphs from three beings to one and back again...... (it’s really amazing anyone could believe that!)
Go ahead and strain at a gnat while swallowing your camel.
I actually agree with you.
No person SHOULD 'believe' in this thing you've built using so much straw.
Use the gospel in John if you wish; it's the words found in the BoM that LDS apologists have to defend.
Jesus Christ is Gods Son, spiritually and physically. He calls Him Father, He prays to Him. |
So; just how was Jesus conceived??
In the first edition of the Book of Mormon (1830), Mary was referred to as
"the mother of God, after the manner of the flesh,"[6]
a reading that was changed by Joseph Smith to
"the mother of the Son of God"
in subsequent editions (1837).[7][8]
Latter Day Saints also believe that God the Father is the literal father of Jesus Christ,[9] although how Jesus' conception was accomplished has not been authoritatively established.[10]
