Have any Freepers seen this film?
Can you talk about if you liked it, and if so, why..?
For this type of thing I rely on Freepers.
Brad Pitt is selected for a space mission that apparently involves his long last father.

Anyone with TDS in it like DeNiro, Kathy Griffin, Judd Apatow? If not I’ll probably go see it.

I really hate to admit it but I shy away from profiting people who are against our country, way of life, and our President.
Let the French watch his crap films.

I saw the movie this weekend. I did not like it.
The story is a moody psychological drama, slow-moving except for a few contrived action scenes. There are no really engaging characters. It has a noir ending of the type greatly favored by Hollywood writers these days. The ending is slightly leavened with a promise of reconciliation.
The plot is absurd. The physics are completely impossible both for the crisis that begins the story and for each of the action scenes.
Other than that, the popcorn was good.

Yes, I saw it Friday. Understand that science fiction is my meat and potatoes, I love the genre, but Ad Astra was a huge turd. A cross between Heart of Darkness and supposedly 2001 I guess it was supposed to represent finding the depths of himself and humanity. The message I came away with was, the human race is all alone in the universe, so we need to stop fighting over resources and love one another.
It was a poorly told story with terrible science and almost childish direction. It felt very 70s with a couple of scenes being laughable as they were so ridiculous. Im thinking of writing the studio and asking for my money back. I really love sci-fi but I despise the ignorance of this film.

I saw it yesterday. More of a long lost father-son reunion than decent SF. It could have been so much better.

So you gave it a four out of five stars?
To: Ndorfin
Exactly. Everyone, please ask yourselves why you would you spend your time, energy, and money subsidizing an industry that does all it can to undermine conservative principles.

Marvel has been killing off their most popular characters (especially Iron Man) and replacing them with homosexuals.
I hope the Marvel Universe gets drawn into a Black Hole.
