I have a problem with chronic itching on my scalp (no dandruff) and my hair has thinned considerably the last few years. I tried a hypoallergenic shampoo to try to stop the itching but it didn’t do much. I might try your method, but I’m a little concerned that my hair will be oily if I do.

Do not worry if your hair looks oily. It is no big deal. If someone does not like you because you hair looks oily, they are not worth worrying about.

my mom had exact same issue. She would find herself scratching until there were small spots that would ooze. Doctor prescribed a steroid but I suggested rinsing her hair every other day with a cup of water mixed with a cup of apple cider vingar (Braggs is the best for this or even Washington House as long as it has the “mother” in it which makes it look almost dirty and cloudy). Cleared her scalp up and stopped the itching. When your hair dries the apple cider smell is completely gone so don’t worry about that.
