LOL, what a headline? I was in Europe a couple of years ago, its the same story there. If it was made of cloth material it was from China. Add plastic and metal also. I just love those screws and nails from China, they work great on Styrofoam boards. Use them on wood they will bend, or the screw head will turn to mush. Gotta love the cheap labor.

This reminds me of a cartoon from decades ago about a Chinese dissident named Harry Wu. He had been living in the USA for some time, but attempted to enter China and was arrested by the Chinese and sentenced to hard labor. A political cartoon in an American paper showed Wu being assigned a sewing machine in a sweatshop as his punishment, where the workers were making "Free Harry Wu!" t-shirts.
Fortunately, Harry only served a couple of months before being deported.
