I was at Live Aid 1985...what passed as Led Zeppelin that night was absolutely awful. I mean, bad. So bad that Zeppelin wouldn’t authorize their performance to be released on the Live Aid Box Set. But at least I can say I sorta saw Zeppelin. By contrast, seeing The Who do Quadrophenia in 2012 was a borderline religious experience.
I saw The Who do Quadrophenia in 96, and it was amazing. Wish I couldve seen em in 73 when it was released.
Heard about that Live Aid disaster for Zep, but never heard it.
Saw the The Who do Quadrophenia in 75 at Madison Square Garden (my first concert). Great concert-loudest band I ever heard. Wore that album out.
Quadrophenia,,,
I need a copy!
I’ve got Three versions of
“TOMMY!”
Dude! I was at both of those shows too! If you saw Quadrophenia at The Garden that year.
