Good morning!
Week 3 of the NFL is already fast approaching, but if you're looking for some marquee games between evenly matched teams, this probably isn't your weekend. Only five of the 16 games currently feature a line of three points or less and only one Rams at Browns on Sunday night can be considered appointment viewing.
Two lopsided games set to make history However, if you're a fan of mismatches that are over after the first drive, you're in luck! Both the Dolphins-Cowboys (-21.5) and the Jets-Patriots (-22.5) opened with Jerry World-sized lines that are also making a little bit of history.
According to Nick Veronica of the Buffalo News, the last time that two teams were favored by 20 or more points in the same week was 1987's Week 5. And that was only because Joe Montana had crossed the picket line to play a Falcons team loaded with replacement players while Randy White and the Cowboys faced the same situation with the Eagles.
Interestingly, neither team covered the spread.

I suspect they’ll rest their starters after halftime.
I was gonna post Doodlebob the same exact picture!
Despite that Super Bowl loss, which really disappointed Tom I’m sure, he is still the GOAT.
I don’t know about the spread, but I do know the Jets won’t get 3 TDs on New England...
But what the hell, what’s an Internet dollar between FRiends?
You’re on, for $1.00!!!
In Week 1 Goff only threw for 186, 1 TD. They had a good rushing week
In Week 2, Goff threw for 280 and 1 TD, they rushed for ~110 in total and 2 TD (one by Goff)
That’s ok but its not near where they were early last season. Tough barometer, I guess.
In my experience you really cant judge a team until week 4
FWIW, the Dolphins announced Josh Rosen will start against the Cowboys.
But I think this meme is brutally accurate:
Except if they’re going into that week 0-3. Teams that go 0-3 have a pretty small chance of making the playoffs. Something like 15%.
Yet the Chargers did it in ‘92
And last year the Colts made the playoffs after losing 5 of their first 6

Well, the Jets covered the spread and they did not get 3 TDs. I guess it’s a push?

Well played! I salute you!
