A gut-wrenching new PSA showing students protecting themselves from a shooter with their 'back-to-school essentials' calls on Americans to stop treating campus gun violence as inevitable and to educate themselves on how to prevent it.
The video was released Wednesday by Sandy Hook Promise, an organization formed by the parents of children killed in the 2012 massacre that left 26 dead at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut.
By mocking classic back-to-school commercials, the PSA offers a ruthless reminder of how commonplace school shootings have become.
It starts off like any other summertime school shopping ad with students showing off the backpacks, binders and headphones they'd bought for the new year.
The endorsements quickly take a dark turn as gunshots ring out.

watching this I get hacked off..and sad
It’s because the media makes these sickos superstars.
Why do schools invest so much money on fire prevention measures and next to nothing to secure a school from a potential shooter?
“Why do schools invest so much money on fire prevention measures and next to nothing to secure a school from a potential shooter?”
Codes
Those “Sandy Hook Parents’ sure get around.
If I recall there was one at many town hall meetings all over the country spouting gun control.
They organized and created a PSA?
Gosh, that doesn’t smell ‘funny’ at all...
It would be pretty funny with the Benny Hill theme song. They did that to a Landmine PSA.
Makes anything funnier.
I’d like to know why the file on what happened that day is sealed? Surely, a very careful and respectful analysis could be done. No?
I’d like everyone and anyone that got in front of a microphone or camera to be fully vetted?
I’d also like to know how a 50-something year old woman, from Connecticut-not the most gun friendly state-divorced from a Wall St guy, who was getting over $250k a year in child support and alimony, who took a job as a para-pro to have something to do, becomes a gun enthusiast and owns a Bushmaster. That isn’t your typical gun for a 50yr old woman from Connecticut. Who has an insane son that has been allowed to get the combination to the gun safe. Not buying it.....sorry.
I wanna see the PSA of some Jews hiding in the bedroom as nazis are coming in the door. And the Jews would give -anything- to have an AR-15 and a 30 round mag.
Problem will slowly go away over time
meanwhile, the latest on Aaron carter and his 6 guns

According to the docs, obtained by TMZ, Angel asked Aaron if he heard voices ... and that’s when he made the “killing babies” remark. Angel asked if he thought about killing anyone else, and she claims he said, “I think about killing Lauren Kitt” ... who is Nick’s pregnant wife.
People didn’t used to do this. Guns at school, guns in pickup truck gunracks. What changed? What is different now? A Godless society. Kids drugged for “ADHD”, perhaps all it took was for Columbine to “break the ice”, and now its a thing. Something happened. People didn’t behave like this a few decades ago.
Actually, they should replace "ruthless reminder" with "misleading suggestion": school shootigs are NOT "commonplace". Kids dying from drug overdoses, sexual abuse, and abortion are no doubt all much more "commonplace"...
Why would an MD open himself to liability by signing any such thing?
A lot of publicity about the shootings is not good for the kids that need to be focusing on learning.
It’s vaguely like the trash that the entertainment industry pours out that’s “ok” because adults like it, but what about the kids that are also watching it?
That’s the whole point. Think it ALL the way through. A doc will never sign a release for a psycho unless he’s damned sure.
Ergo...Psycho stays locked up.
They wouldn’t.
That tends to keep the insane in the asylums.
If Aaron Carter listens to the voices in his head and kills Nick Carter, his GF and his unborn baby who will be to blame.
Just Aaron Carter?
The family is trying to do something about it.
I have dealt with a family member with voices in their head
Nick Carter has a right to worry.
