Any number of unrelated factors might explain renewal of the show for more episodes, such as contract requirements, production costs, and sponsorship deals. For example, it is easy to imagine Christina demanding another season of her show as part of her deal to do more episodes of the original show with her husband. The truth about such deals usually trickles out over time.
