Is it really possible to cut down every tree near a power line???

They are trying, but can’t do it without the owners permission. They came to our door and asked to trim one tree and take out another. We said yes to the trim and no to the removal. My neighbor has ten huge trees all along her driveway they want to cut down. She said no. They said this is just the first wave and that there is more coming. We’ll see...

Here where I live the utilities come in and at least cut back all the branches that are going over the power lines. That is why if property owners would read their deeds they will see that there are utility easements where the property doesn't actually belong to them.
