There's no historical evidence the Russians had anything to do with assassinating the Austrian Arch Duke.
But there are documents showing the Kaiser's High Command pushed Austrians into issuing an ultimatum to Serbia and then declaring war.
And the Kaiser knew what his people were doing.
He wanted a quick little war, to be over with before the Russians & French had time to respond -- a fait acompli.
Things didn't work out quite as planned...
