Double check the size of that file, if it is not around 1.9 gigs then it is not a full download like we want.

Yes, that's the size of the file. I got it from one of the sites listed at the main Linux page.

I've now burned a third copy of this OS to disk. Only thing now is to see if I can boot the computer from it.

If it doesn’t then the boot order is wrong and has to be fixed. You want it to boot from the CD first anyways.
