Popeye’s is better than the Colonel’s fried chicken.

That is true today. But back in the 70’s the Colonel’s Original Recipe — back when it actually was the original recipe — was to die for. But in the 80’s Pepsi bought KFC and screwed it up. Pepsi has since sold KFC but the food is still screwed up.

If life gives you a lemon...Popeyes ought capitalize on this story and use it in advertising to show how popular their chicken really is. Uhhh, no pictures, please.

That’s one hazard of the “Fresh, Never Frozen” fast food places. Quality’s decent, but they run out of things, ‘cause they don’t freeze them.

I note the phot caption describes the interaction as being at gunpoint - but the article itself doesn’t say any such thing

Back in the 90s my cousin’s husband and I worked at a coal mine in San Juan County, New Mexico as security guards. It’s a rural region. We often worked alone each shift except for a roving guard who drove between this mine and another mine 15 miles away.
He would pack a ruger 22 pistol in his lunch box. I stuck a rifle in the trunk of my car. I really should have taken my one and only pistol instead and kept it close by.
You definitely have the right idea!

Well, yes; but you can still make them for the family and just not eat them yourself.

(By the way: a really good ready-mix biscuit is the Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix. Follow the instructions- especially about putting the seasoned butter on top :-)

You ever hear of a gun shop being robbed when it was open for business?

” You ever hear of a gun shop being robbed when it was open for business?”

It’s been tried but not successfully. Here’s one example that’s been posted on FR.
Dixie Pawn and Gun Shop.

Well, I meant “successfully robbed.”

Thanks for the clarification, and did they get bad guy #2?
I couldn’t see whether he went down or not.

Bad guy #2 booked it like a bat out of H.E.L.L.

Still good shooting on one bad guy #1.
