There's one rural Minnesota town that still turns out great hockey players! This documentary from NBC Sports is well worth the 25+ minutes of your time:

The Road Through Warroad

The population of Warroad is about 1,800. They've produced seven Olympic hockey players and five who have played in the NHL.

The best story involves Gigi Marvin -- a real cute babe who has played on the U.S. Women's National Team. She played on boys teams until she was 13, and describes an incident where she got into fight during a game with future NHL star T.J. Oshie. LMAO.

Thanks! I’ve seen it before but I put it on my list again. Pretty cool how sports can bring a town together.
