Agreed. I think that they will be surprised and won’t be expecting the reaction. Remember that they operate from a position of “feel good” and won’t be expecting a harsh reaction. After all, they are “doing it for our own good and for the betterment of society. The are saving lives!”
I honestly believe that many of the legislators are isolated, maybe ignorant, and don’t know what is going on in the real world. The good news is that the facts are available and information comes quickly on the Internet. The best way to fight them is through information. At least, it has worked pretty well so far — how many mass shooting have their been recently? — many and yet there haven’t been any major changes to the laws.
